I designed and illustrated the brochure and merchandise for the Stroke Association's Garden for Recovery at the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2024. The garden was designed by stroke survivor Miria Harris and was later relocated to the stroke unit at Chapel Allerton Hospital in Leeds.
The focal point of the garden was a sculptural pine tree which symbolises resilience in the face of stroke trauma. I focused the main illustration around this concept, using the Stroke Association signature brushstroke assets to create an energetic and non-linear tree illustration to reflect the ups and downs of stroke recovery.
I also created some illustrations of various plants that were featured in the garden, which were used in the brochure and for the apron design.
